Now a major Apple TV series, this novel really grabs you from the start. It is full of twists and turns, with plenty of action along the way. Jason Dessen awakes to an unfamiliar life and has to determine whether it is his new life or his old life that is real. The pacing is dynamic, the style of writing easy to absorb and it’s easy to see why the book lent itself so readily to the format of a television series, what with the multiple cliffhangers throughout.
